Living Proof blog has quite a literate study on what goes on at/in Record Fairs - worth a read if your a goof like me. FTA:
"Marked prices for used records depend on a number of easily definable qualities: the quality of the record itself, the quality of the record sleeve, the relative scarcity of the record, the release history of the record (that is, if it was ever discontinued, how many times it’s been repressed, what record labels have issued the record, etc.), and any extraneous anomalies—if the record is a promotional copy, signed, or accompanied by some other relevant memorabilia, then the price will be higher."
