Grindin - skate shoe history
When I first got sponsored by Powell Skateboards, I was buying Vans. Stacy Peralta was the coach and had a hookup with them, and he would get shoes from them and give them to us. By around 1985, Vans wasn’t really supporting skaters anymore.
